Today is Monday, December 19th, we are 23 days away from the beginning of the end of One Tree Hill. Knowing that this is my personal blog, I guess I'll get personal before I make my point & statement.
On this day, I celebrate one of my best guy friends birthday, he would be 32. He unfortunately died about 11-12 yrs ago. It was never confirmed the reason to his death but I know it wasn't easy. I remember him & I had gotten into a fight a few weeks before bc I confessed to him that I liked him more than a friend. He was mad at me bc it was going to ruin our friendship bc he didn't feel the same. For a few weeks before I found out about his passing, I kept dreaming about him, & so I started calling him, no answer. I was getting mad that he was avoiding my call, til one day his sister answers & gives me the bad news. I couldn't believe my ears. I couldn't be true, just wow.
Today is also the day I celebrate my puppies monthly bday, to me every month I have them is special, but bc it's almost Christmas I thought their birthday should be a tad bit more special... So to my babies- ElleJai, TJ, Miss Febz, & Chunky Monkey... Happy 10 month birthday! Grandma loves you like crazy.
To me One Tree Hill means so much, every little thing means something good in my life, either a quote said, or things going on in one of their relationships hitting close to home, & the one thing I love the most is Nathan's jersey # 23. I'm sure they did that bc who doesn't love that #?? Uhm, Michael Jordan? MJ was born & raised in Wilmington, NC, so I would assume it would all make sense, 23 has been my fave # since I was 13. Almost 18 years ago. That was the date when I started to date my first boyfriend, so at the end of the day whenever I see the #23 anywhere on OTH it makes me think back to that one boy from so long ago, but also anytime a date comes along with the #23 we all think OTH & how we love that number... Like today, we are 23 days away from season 9 starting. For the normal people out in this world 23 is just another # for them, but for us OTH fans... #itsanOTHthing, & only OTHFamily can understand that.
Only this special family can relate to today, & that's why I had to share these extra small stories, since it all lands on this day we relate to our beloved show.
